OH REALLY? YOU MUST BE LYING

I have created this activity so that students can practice the Reported Speech. They can stand up and move around the classroom.

PREPARATION:

Give each student one card ( I have prepared 20 cards, but more can be done depending on the number of students that you have).You will need to cut them out

Tell them to read theirs and check if they understand it.

Tell them to move around the class ( It can also be done in two groups of ten) and read their sentences to the rest.The other student says: “Oh really? You must be lying!” or simply “I don’t believe you!”

When they have finished (approx. 15 minutes) some of them tell the teacher what the other classmates have told them.
